THERAPY IN CHELMSFORD ESSEX
Therapy in Chelmsford Essex
I offer a confidential, face to face, therapy service to individuals as well as couples aged 18 and over. I have experience of working with people from a diverse range of backgrounds including; culture, race, religion, age and sexuality. I also work with counselling students.
As your therapist I will not tell you what to do, instead I will encourage you to talk about what is bothering you in order to begin to understand the root causes and identify your specific ways of thinking. This way we can begin to understand your current difficulties and how best to move forward. Therapy is not a quick fix and may involve dealing with some potentially very difficult feelings.
Psychodynamic counselling or therapy involves weekly sessions lasting 50 minutes each. The sessions are at the same time and day every week. Some flexibility can be offered if you for example work different shift patterns. Counselling can be either short-term or may extend over a much longer period, depending on your circumstances. Longer-term counselling can carry on for as long as you find it beneficial. You are, of course, free to end the counselling at any time, however it is recommended that you do not end it abruptly, as a planned ending is an important part of the work.
I offer appointments Monday-Friday 8am-8pm. The fee for individual therapy is £50 per session. The fee for the initial consultation is also £50 and must be paid upfront. For ongoing therapy the fee can be paid weekly or monthly, depending on your preference.
